POINTS OF INTEREST
Tamurejo is characterized by a popular mountain architecture very little subjected to transformations. They stand out among their buildings:
Iglesia de Santo Toribio de Liébana
Temple of classic style and whitewashed masonry, dating from the nineteenth century. Around the patron saint of this church is celebrated in April a festival, that of Santo Toribio, in which old appliances are burned and soot is used to smudge the faces.
A beautiful building, in the same style as the Church of Santo Toribio de Liébana, in whitewashed masonry, finished with mud and lime. It is located in the Plaza Mayor.
Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Rosario
Religious temple of modern construction (late twentieth century) dedicated to the patron saint of Tamurejo. On August 15 a procession is celebrated around the hermitage, but it is in October when the proper feasts of the Virgin of the Rosary, pilgrimage and tombola included, are celebrated to contribute to the maintenance of the sanctuary.
