Birding route to the Rock of Cogolludos. Puebla de Alcocer
Date of execution: Sunday, November 19, 2017, within the activities of the Birding Puebla 2017 program.
- Ornithological route to the Rock of Cogolludos, combining hiking and boat trips, starting with a 22-kilometer hike, which took participants to the Cogolludo Rock, stopping at the Roman enclave of Lacimurga. Then, they enjoyed an aquatic tour for bird watching from a boat, in the areas of Cogolludo and the Orellana and Sierra de Pela reservoir, included in the Special Bird Protection Area (ZEPA) of the Orellana and Sierra reservoir de Pela, which also has the international distinction of RAMSAR Site.
