The presence of shorebirds in Extremadura occurs mainly in the region of Vegas Altas del Guadiana although given their presence in irrigated lands you can also see some specimens in irrigated farming lands of:

 

• Garlitos
• Risco
• Sancti-Spiritus
• Esparragosa de Lares
• Puebla de Alcocer

• Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons)
• Bean Goose (Anser fabalis)
• Lesser White-fronted Goose (Anser erythropus)
• Pink-footed Goose (Anser brachyrhynchus)
• Dunlin (Calidris Alpina)
