SENDA LOS BATANES
ROUTE
Starting from the Cerrillos, the parallel route passes through the reservoir until reaching Helechosa, where it takes the road to Herrera del Duque going up the valley of the Huertos stream. We leave the path of Herrera to continue on the Naciente, in the area of the Batanes. Then, the route takes the road to Fuenlabrada, descending to Helechosa.

ACCESS
The route starts from Los Cerrillos, a complex of tourist apartments on the banks of the Cíjara Reservoir.

VALUES
- Spectacular rocky outcrops and zones of riparian vegetation. Willows, ash, poplar, gall oaks, cork oaks, strawberry trees, mastics, white heather and Mediterranean buckthorn. Shrubs: Dogwood, rockrose, mastic, rosemary, heather and flax-leaved daphne.
- Fauna: Deer, roe deer. Birds: Golden Eagle, Black Vulture, Griffon Vulture, Black Stork, Iberian Magpie, Song Thrushes, Wood Pigeons, Greenfinch and Warblers.
